θαυμάσιες Μύκονος

July 26

Awoke this morning in Mykonos, Greece!  Today was a day to swim and see the town so we departed the ship and walked from the Port to the town as the shuttle busses did not easily accommodate wheelchairs.  It was a bit of a journey along the side of the main road with no sidewalks but we made it and had a quick dip in the water before wandering the narrow town allyways.  The brilliant whitewash was an excellent backdrop for the blue shuttered windows and many varieties of bougainvillea.  We had a nice lunch near the iconic windmills before wandering back through the town and toward the ship along the road.  We stopped for another dip at a beach by the harbour and swam with wee fishes in the clear green-blue water.  Tonight we departed for Naples/Salerno and will be “at sea” tomorrow arriving on the 28th.
